Marc Yaklofsky, CT Blockchain Association Advisory Board Member, Joins FTI Consulting
The CT Blockchain Association is very pleased to congratulate Advisory Board member Marc Yaklofsky on his new position as a Managing Director for FTI Consulting Strategic Communications with their Financial Services team.
Marc Yaklofsky
From FTI Consulting Strategic Communications:
“We are delighted to welcome Marc Yaklofsky as a Managing Director to our team. With more than 20 years of experience across the financial services sector, including the cryptocurrency industry, Marc has built and led communications, public relations and investor relations functions at a broad array of global financial institutions. When asked for his outlook for the sector, specifically on crypto, Marc shared:
Q: Where do you see the industry is heading after a “crypto winter” and will there be more challenges ahead?
Marc: Although the past 18 months have been very challenging for crypto, the sector has proven that it’s resilient. Asset prices have firmed up as investor interest remains vibrant, traditional financial services firms have reiterated commitment to the space, and innovative companies have adapted to a changing landscape. The industry continues to evolve and mature, so I’m bullish on where crypto is headed. That said, some of the biggest near-term themes the industry will have to contend with are compliance with increased yet inconsistent regulation, a fragile global macroeconomy, and demand for stronger protection of assets.
Q: What role do communications professionals play in crypto?
Marc: Communications professionals play a vital role in every industry, but particularly in crypto. Among other things, we are the stewards of reputation and clearly the crypto industry is recovering from significant reputational damage. Because we interact with so many stakeholders, we have a broad-based perspective and are uniquely positioned to provide informed counsel to the C-suite on how to effectively manage reputational risk and earn trust.
