CBA President Alan Deckman Joins Blockchain Roundtable in Stamford

CT Blockchain Association President and Founder Alan Deckman participated in a Blockchain Roundtable hosted by Mayor Caroline Simmon in Stamford, CT, on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. The panel assembled leaders in blockchain, politics, and business, including Mr. Deckman, Congressman Jim Himes (serving CT’s 4th District), City of Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons, Julie Stitzel (Vice President of Public Policy for the Digital Currency Group , and CT Blockchain Association Board Member), Matt Beck (Director of Investments for the Digital Currency Group), Robert Hotaling (CT DECD Deputy Commissioner & Chief Investment Officer), and Melissa Biggs (Partner at DNB Lobby and discussion moderator).

Topics included how Connecticut has supported Blockchain growth thus far, an overview of how technology is leveraged, challenges faced by the industry, and a discussion of continued support of federal legislation to promote clarity and the growth of blockchain in the US.
